    Hello!

I live in Adelaide South Australia. First of all, great website!
I was wondering if you may be able to give me some information or
tips on where I can meet Filipinas? I think that people from the
Philippines are fanatstic people, and I would love to meet some more
    of them, especially females.

    Many Thanks
    Ben.

Hi, kumusta kayo? My name is Will Robinson, and I’m learning Philippino before moving there late next year to work – I’m wondering if you have any advice on Philippine organisations in Canberra or Sydney which I might be able to join for a little language practice?

    Kind regards,
    Will Robinson

  • Ben, the best place to meet FIlipinas is in the Philippines. If you look to the right of the screen you will see the eBooks I sell which have all the information you need. There is also a vast amount of FREE information at http://www.streetwisephilippines.biz you can access. Do be careful with some of the penpal and online chatcam sites. Many of these are abused by scammers and that pretty FIlipina in the photo might turn out to be a bloke running a criminal ring. Do be very careful and forewarned is forearmed,

Will, there are several groups out west where I live in Blacktown that have instruction and chat. I will hunt them down and include their listings here. You can find them via the Filipino newspapers sold in the Asian food stores also.

Cherie, I hope you have some luck via this site. I had the pleasure of hosting Tino at my Filipino Martial Arts school in Surry Hills some years ago. All of my students agreed he was the epitomy of the Filipino friend… fun, funny and far better a friend than a foe! Please say Kumusta Ka Po to him for me.

    Cheers Perry

  • Hello ,can you please tell me the best way of getting married to a Filipino,is it best to marry there or here,or can you tell me where to get advise please.I’m a pensioner and already video chat for 2 months every day to a lady.
    THANK YOU
    In advance
    Bob

    Robert,

I’m a Registered Migration Agent, and my company specialises in fiancé and spouse visas from the Philippines.

You can get married in the Philippines or here. It’s really up to you. A marriage in the Philippines is often seen as fairly special by the ladies, but it also means a lot to organise often in a short time. The Regulations state that you should have met each other in person. That applies even if you wish to marry her here in Australia. (And forget about trying to get a visitor visa for a Philippines citizen, as you’ll see in my next post).

If you have difficulty in travelling (or with any visa application), please feel free to contact our office? I’m sure we can help you. Our website is http://www.downundervisa.com.au

  • Ricky:

hi is there any person who can help me
i hav a lady that i hav known for about 1 year now and i would like to bring her to australia
we applied for a tourist visa and that was refused
she is a teacher at college there
    maybe some one can help
    it would be appreciated

    Ricky,

I’m a Registered Migration Agent, and my company specialises in fiancé and spouse visas from the Philippines.

The Department staff in the Manila office receive a huge number of applications, and a large percentage of them are attempted fraud. Many many many applicants apply for visitor visas and plan on working her and/or overstaying. As a result, they view all applications with suspicion. Unless your ladyfriend is one of the minority with a WELL-paying job (not a teacher!), property and other assets, her chances are very low. Our office MAY be able to help you, but probably not.

And be warned that visa refusals will stay on her record, and may affect the way they decide future applications for permanent visas.

If you haven’t met her, best bet is for you to fly over and meet her in the Philippines? And if you decide you want to make your arrangement into something permanent, please contact us? We’d be happy to help. Our website is http://www.downundervisa.com.au

Filipina Wives

This is a website specifically for Australians which explains the wonderful aspects of marriage between Filipinas (Filipino ladies are referred to as "Filipinas") and "western" men, presented as a source of useful information to help men avoid the mistakes that mainly come from a lack of understanding of a unique Asian culture. Knowledge is power. And knowledge can mean the difference between disappointment and hurt, and a very fulfilling and bright future.
