Many many many applicants apply for visitor visas and plan on working her and/or overstaying. As a result, they view all applications with suspicion. Unless your ladyfriend is one of the minority with a WELL-paying job (not a teacher!), property and other assets, her chances are very low. Our office MAY be able to help you, but probably not. And be warned that visa refusals will stay on her record, and may affect the way they decide future applications for permanent visas. You can get married in the Philippines or here. It’s really up to you. A marriage in the Philippines is often seen as fairly special by the ladies, but it also means a lot to organise often in a short time. The Regulations state that you should have met each other in person. That applies even if you wish to marry her here in Australia. (And forget about trying to get a visitor visa for a Philippines citizen, as you’ll see in my next post).

Many of these are abused by scammers and that pretty FIlipina in the photo might turn out to be a bloke running a criminal ring.
